New facility adds to excellent facilities at Centre.
On Friday, John Baron MP officially opened the scooter shelter at the George Hurd Centre, Audley Way, Basildon. The shelter was not originally part of the project but was agreed to by Lovells at the official opening last year when the company was approached by John. The design and progress was subject to discussion between Lovells and the User Group.
John said:
“This shelter will help local residents and further add to the excellent facilities at the George Hurd Centre. Our thanks go to Lovells who agreed to provide the shelter as a gesture of goodwill after being approached by the Council and myself.”
“The shelter has taken a little while, but the design and progress was subject quite rightly to discussions between Lovells and the User Group. It is a real asset.”
