John says it is important to share our ideas between nations.
John Baron today welcomed two teachers from Ghana to Parliament to discuss how the House of Commons works and to share ideas about politics and education across international borders. The two visitors are Alfred Ponka (a teacher at Logre Primary School) and Clement Setigah (the Head Teacher at Tongo Beo Junior High School). They were accompanied to Parliament by Lyn Corderoy (Head Teacher at Grange Primary School, Wickford) whose school is hosting the exchange.
John said:
“I was delighted to welcome our Ghanaian guests and explain how Parliament works. It is good to know that our system of Government still inspires interest from around the world.”
“There is much we can learn from each other by discussing different approaches to education and to hear how people live on different continents. Congratulations to Grange Primary School for its hard work organising, fund raising and planning the exchange.”
Lyn Corderoy said:
“Grange School community is excited to welcome the guests from Ghana. This is a wonderful opportunity for learning in both parts of the world.”

This term all classes at Grange Primary School are experiencing and learning through their global /world themes beautifully and the arrival of visitors from Ghana coincides with this.
